Adobe Photoshop CS2 Review
Adobe recently
announced its latest product as Photoshop CS2, the new second
edition of Adobe's Creative Suite. The new software combines the
full new versions of its existing products; Photoshop, Illustrator,
InDesign, GoLive and Acrobat 7.0 Pro. This move brings together the
new features of CS 2 to form a sophisticated offering for their
customers working in print, on the web, or on mobile devices.
The major upgrade
makes sense in that it communicates the interoperability and
relationship between Adobe's products and the company's initiative
to deliver digital photography to a new level of experience in the
overall creative process. All the apps received its major sweeping
improvements and included advanced tools for digital photography.
Photoshop, for
example, moving from CS to CS2, included a new plug-in called Camera
Raw Converter which uses your camera's raw mode to edit and shoot
better images. New features such as Spot Healing Brush and Smart
Sharpen are also integrated in version 2 of Photoshop. The former is
for correcting photo problems such as blemishes and red eye and the
later for fixing photo blurring.
Another plus in this
premium edition is integrated with Adobe Illustrator CS2. The Live
Trace which quickly convert photos and scan images to editable paths
and the Live Paint tools which applies color to any region and
creates new shapes which automatically corrects gaps.
Most impressive,
perhaps, is the Adobe Bridge, the new file browser in Adobe Creative
Suite 2, which functions as a hub that connects and controls your
project files, applications, and settings.
This latest Adobe
suite is available as stand alone software or a key component of
Adobe Creative Suite2.
